What is hot water extraction carpet cleaning?
Hot water extraction is what most people call steam cleaning. Heated water and a safe cleaning solution go into the carpet pile under pressure, and a strong vacuum pulls them back out a second later, along with the dirt and old residue. Nothing is left sitting in the fibers, and that is the main difference from surface cleaning. This is the method we use on residential wall-to-wall carpet across Calgary.
Do you move furniture before cleaning carpets?
We shift light things ourselves, chairs and small tables for example. Beds, electronics and heavy furniture normally stay where they are, or you clear them before we arrive. Tell us what is in the room when you book so we can plan around it.
Will professional cleaning remove all pet urine stains and odor from carpet?
A lot of pet spots come out completely or fade a long way after proper pre-treatment and deep extraction. If the urine soaked through to the pad or the subfloor, the smell can come back later, and the only real fix is dealing with the pad. We look at the area first and tell you honestly what to expect. How often should wall-to-wall carpet be professionally cleaned in Calgary?
For most homes once every 12 to 18 months is enough. With pets, small kids or a busy household it is closer to every 6 to 12 months. Calgary adds its own problem: winter sand and road salt get walked in and grind down into the fibers, so entryways, halls and stairs usually need attention before the rest of the house.
